OUR MISSION

Is to prevent youth delinquency in Miami by offering positive and healthy alternatives to gang involvement. We do this by utilizing a holistic approach to develop youth academically, physically, socially, and spiritually

Gang Alternative Inc (GA) was created over twenty years ago to prevent youths from entering gangs and divert them into more constructive programs. Since its inception, GA has served over 3000 youths in the Little Haiti area of Miami Dade County. Gang Alternative Inc (GA) is tailored to provide a safe and positive environment for young men and women to learn new skills and enhance their competence socially, emotionally, and behaviorally. GA targets young men and women 6-19 years old. The program aims to assist youths and their family by providing community support in a faith-based atmosphere where family, education, and pro-social behaviors are promoted.

Our motto is "Building Character that Lasts".  GA works with youths in the community in order to deter them from gang activities and to empower them to become influential leaders; increase their self-efficacy; and develop a strong sense of character and personality.

GA is generously funded by: “The Children’s Trust” and through private donations from organizations such as “Community Christian Church”.
